About The Position

Markade Plumbing, a commercial plumbing company serving the greater Phoenix area and part of Kelso Industries, is seeking Apprentice and Journeyman Commercial Plumbers. The role involves a range of plumbing work, including underground plumbing, rough-in plumbing, and trim plumbing. Work includes installing and testing plumbing systems and fixtures, performing soldering, and completing related plumbing tasks. Candidates must provide their own tools and PPE, have reliable transportation, be available for out-of-town work, be legally eligible to work in the United States, and be able to understand and read blueprints. The hiring process includes submitting application materials and references, interviews, field tests, and a written test.

Responsibilities

Excavate trenches with proper fall and install plumbing trunks, stacks, floor drains, cleanouts, copper for trap primers, cast iron pipes, septic systems, and grease interceptors.
Test plumbing systems, wrap pipes, and measure stacks.
Drill and install vent and water systems; hang pipes and install floor drains, sinks, closet flanges, trap primers, wall carrier systems, mixing valves, roof drain harnesses, condensate drains, and insulation.
Solder copper pipes without leaks and ream copper pipes.
Install and test plumbing fixtures and equipment, including strainers, faucets, lavatories, toilets, urinals, flush valves, angle stops, p-traps, disposals, dishwashers, RO systems, soft water systems, backflows, sinks, water heaters, expansion tanks, booster pumps, condensate drains, electrical heat tape, manifold gas systems, and mop sinks.
Set water temperatures; test drains, cleanouts, access panels, and indirect drains; and caulk with silicone.
Connect ice machines, sprayer faucets, gas flexes, gas regulators, water filters, exterior cleanouts, and circulating pumps, and address ADA compliance.
Uphold company standards and participate in the stated application, testing, interview, and field-test process.
