About The Position

W.B. Guimarin is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber to install commercial plumbing systems on a variety of commercial construction projects. The role involves interpreting plans, specifications, and building codes; installing a range of piping systems and plumbing components; and testing completed systems. Plumbers work with foremen and other trades and are supported by experienced foremen, quality tools, and a company culture that values safety, integrity, and teamwork.

Requirements

Commercial plumbing experience is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience with copper, cast iron, PVC, CPVC, steel, and other commercial piping systems.
Knowledge of commercial plumbing codes and installation practices.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Commitment to safety and producing quality work.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Install commercial plumbing systems according to plans, specifications, and building codes.
Read blueprints and determine proper system layouts.
Install domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, natural gas, medical gas, acid waste, and related piping systems.
Install supports, hangers, valves, fittings, fixtures, and equipment.
Cut, thread, groove, solder, braze, fuse, and assemble a variety of piping materials.
Pressure test completed systems and repair leaks as needed.
Work closely with foremen and other trades to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
