Commercial Plumber
About The Position
RQ is seeking skilled Commercial Plumbers to join its Mechanical team supporting ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia and surrounding areas. All work will be performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements specific to the base. Plumbers are responsible for fabricating and installing plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment on active construction sites. The role requires applying technical mechanical knowledge to ensure work complies with applicable codes and standards. Work must be performed with proper tools, equipment, and safety practices, in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ, LLC has been a provider in the commercial and government Design-Build industry since 1996. The company manages projects across the United States and specializes in fast-track, new commercial construction for public and private clients, with a primary focus on the Department of Defense market. The pay range is $33.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and successfully pass drug screening and commercial criminal background checks, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the military base, if applicable.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 4 years, or equivalent, of field or trade work experience as a journey-level plumber in a commercial or facilities operations setting.
- Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for military-base access, if applicable.
Nice To Haves
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience is preferred.
