About The Position

Volkswagen Financial Services is seeking a Commercial and Personal Insurance Specialist for its North American Region (NAR) Insurance and Protection Services department. The department develops financial products and services to support the region’s financial success. This position will assist with launching and managing a Digital Insurance Agency, developing commercial insurance products, and supporting the growth of commercial and personal insurance products in the US and Canada. The role also includes day-to-day operational support and insurance administration for the existing floorplan portfolio. The specialist will work with the Manager, Commercial and Personal Insurance - NAR and collaborate across NAR business areas, VCI/VCCI field teams, IT, vendors, the captive insurance company, obligors, and consultants. The position is fully remote and home based. It is classified as Career Level 20P.

Requirements

Seven years of relevant experience focused on insurance, preferably auto insurance.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, or another business-related field; alternatively, a high school diploma and at least 10 years of relevant insurance experience.
Certified and licensed insurance producer (DRLP), licensed in all US states.
Thorough knowledge of the US insurance product business.
Product marketing experience focused on insurance.
Ability to understand market trends and develop new insurance products.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the insurance claims process.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with strategic planning aligned with corporate goals and objectives.
Demonstrated expertise in project management, including integration, scope and time, cost, quality, risk, and communications management.
Strong leadership qualities and excellent written and oral interpersonal skills.
Experience in project management and dealer services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with peers, customers, dealers, reinsurance structures and companies, and management at various levels.
Ability to work across organizations, including captive finance companies, obligors, vendors, and dealer principals or owners.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing, deploying, and ensuring the success of the Digital Insurance Agency, and support its day-to-day management.
Work with the Manager, Commercial and Personal Insurance - NAR to facilitate project implementation.
Provide insurance quotes and submit applications based on acquired risk information and customer requirements.
Use product knowledge and selling techniques to build value, address objections and concerns, and convert commercial leads into sales.
Advise prospects and floorplan policyholders on policy coverage, limits, features, and benefits.
Follow up with current and potential clients.
Escalate anticipated risks to management, including potential mitigation and contingency options.
Help develop strategic partnerships with vendors and consultants and build understanding of project goals and processes.
Perform insurance administrative support tasks associated with the existing US and Canadian floorplan portfolio.
