About The Position

The Commercial Paint Prep Tech performs general labor, including moving, washing, and cleaning parts, and assists with preparing parts for painting through sanding and taping. The role uses basic hand tools and requires maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following safety procedures. The position may also assist with other tasks supporting the painting process. The work involves sustained, moderately physically demanding tasks, including climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and handling moderately heavy objects or materials weighing 20–50 pounds. Essential duties may expose the employee to odors, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, hazardous materials, toxic agents, machinery, heavy equipment, vibrations, or traffic hazards.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of painting processes and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Good ethical judgment.
- Ability to generate ideas, demonstrate creativity, and provide solutions.
- Strong productivity skills, with the ability to complete work accurately and on time.
