Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a well-established commercial painting contractor in the Raleigh market that is looking to add an experienced Paint Estimator to their team. With more than 30 years in business, this company has built a strong reputation through quality work, repeat business, and long-standing relationships throughout the commercial construction industry. Requirements

5+ years of commercial painting estimating experience
Strong proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
Solid understanding of commercial painting scopes and estimating
Experience estimating projects of varying sizes and complexity
Ability to independently complete accurate and thorough takeoffs
Strong communication skills and confidence working with GCs and clients
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids
Someone who takes ownership of their work and wants to contribute to the continued success of the company

Responsibilities

Perform detailed commercial paint takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST)
Review plans, specifications, and project documents
Develop accurate and competitive estimates and proposals
Communicate with GCs, clients, vendors, and project partners throughout the bidding process
Manage multiple estimates and deadlines
Follow up on bids and help turn opportunities into awarded projects
Work with ownership and the team on pricing, production assumptions, and bid strategy
Help identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and profitability
Provide insight and experience to help strengthen the estimating function
