About The Position

GuideStone is seeking a faith-aligned and results-driven Commercial P&C Producer. This sales professional will be responsible for prospecting and developing relationships with decision-makers within religious and nonprofit organizations to distribute commercial insurance accounts. The role involves leveraging GuideStone’s proprietary P&C product, direct carrier appointments, or brokered markets. Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, comprehensive P&C knowledge, and the ability to assess client needs to deliver tailored insurance solutions and risk management reviews. Producers act as trusted advisors, collaborating with internal teams and carrier partners to grow a profitable book of business and achieve annual production targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum 2-5 years of sales experience.
  • P&C sales experience preferred.
  • Valid Property & Casualty (P&C) License preferred; Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) License preferred.
  • Candidates not currently licensed must be able to obtain all required licenses within 60 days of hire.
  • Active state of residence Property and Casualty license and the ability to be licensed in additional states as required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and rating methodologies.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Demonstrated capability to actively seek out and secure sales using methods such as cold calling, networking, and business development activities.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, both verbally and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Applied Epic or similar AMS preferred.
  • CRM platform (Dynamics) proficiency for client communication and activity tracking.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • High energy, self-motivated individual with strong work ethic.
  • Strategic prospecting and networking with ability to build C-suite and/or small business relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to necessary process and documentation.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and educational events (up to 25%).
  • Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.

  • Extensive knowledge of GuideStone P&C insurance options, the legal and compliance requirement for such plans, how they operate, the strengths and weaknesses of the plans and how they relate to competitors’ products and services preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive prospecting strategies across multiple channels.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to assess client needs and pain points.
  • Develop and execute account-based marketing strategies for key prospects.
  • Leverage CRM tools and sales intelligence platforms to optimize prospecting.
  • Evaluate inbound leads for alignment with agency underwriting criteria.
  • Collect and analyze underwriting inputs for carrier submissions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals and marketing materials.
  • Conduct risk assessments and coverage reviews tailored to client exposures.
  • Create and deliver targeted proposals with compelling value propositions.
  • Stay current on market conditions, carrier appetite changes, and regulatory changes.
  • Maintain expertise in specialized markets and industry segments.
  • Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through binding.
  • Execute seamless account transition to the Account Management team.
  • Attend key industry engagements, including conferences and conventions.
