About The Position

At Regions, the Loan Servicing Specialist performs a variety of operational tasks within Loan Servicing, which may include special servicing, loan workout, investor relations, and loan operations. The role reviews loan documentation and data, completes validations, performs data entry, responds to inquiries, prepares specialized documents and reports, and researches and resolves complex loan-related issues. The position works under limited supervision and follows established guidelines and procedures. It also requires compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices, while supporting process improvements and disciplined change management. The role tracks time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two years of banking or related work experience.
Pass any assessment associated with the position.
Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance.
Data entry and typing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Receive and review incoming work, contacting appropriate resources as needed.
Review loan documentation for accuracy.
Validate loan documentation, reports, and/or systems.
Document missing, incorrect, or incomplete documents and/or data.
Perform data entry and/or enter loans into appropriate systems.
Resolve customer or associate inquiries and communicate when applicable.
Prepare, edit, distribute, and/or correct specialized and/or complex documents and reports.
Research and resolve complex loan-related issues, including missing payments, disputed account history requests, and general loan-related questions.
Follow established guidelines and procedures while working under limited supervision.
Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices.
Identify opportunities for and support process improvements; apply disciplined change management practices.
Track time; the position is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
