About The Position

The Loan Processor is responsible for coordinating all documentation requirements to complete commercial loan transactions, from application submission to loan closing. This role provides assistance and support to the professional lending staff regarding loan documentation preparation and review. The processor ensures loans comply with internal and external lending guidelines and protects the Bank’s security interest. Additionally, the position involves supporting and promoting the Bank’s vision, mission, core values, organizational structure, policies, and procedures. The ideal candidate must possess excellent analysis, observation, and decision-making skills, be highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, and ensure resources are properly aligned. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with Board members, officers, employees, and members of the business and civic community. The individual should be capable of working under high-pressure and stressful situations while remaining composed, and is expected to provide strong, compassionate, and visible leadership that fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees and customers.

Requirements

  • A self-starting team player who possesses a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-5 years real estate and commercial processing experience.
  • Knowledgeable in loan compliance and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of real estate and commercial loan underwriting concepts, techniques, compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, high volume, work environment with accuracy and minimal supervision.
  • Display a positive team working attitude with associates in all departments.
  • Must have strong computer skills, with an emphasis on loan platforms.
  • Must be able to be physically present in the Bank to perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Financial institution experience (within the 3-5 years real estate and commercial processing experience) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and AdobePro is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews loan packages for completeness and accuracy.
  • Requests required documentation on approvals.
  • Reviews loan documentation, recognizes deficiencies and takes appropriate steps to ensure accurate documentation, including data entry.
  • Maintains in close communication with attorneys.
  • Immediately resolves any issues that would negatively impact the Bank’s future collectability, lien position, equity position, and/or marketability.
  • Once all documentation has been collected, reviewed and approved, presents complete package with approval to close.
  • Audits all loan packages to ensure proper signatures, disbursements and documentation is obtained. Immediately reports and resolves any issue that requires corrective action and meets all regulatory timelines.
  • Uploads loan documents to Bank’s imagining software.
  • Provides payoffs, loan verifications, and processes releases of lien.
  • Complies with federal and state regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Review loans are entered and coded correctly and accurately to ensure accurate reporting in compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements as well as general Bank financial reporting requirements.
  • Assists the Commercial Real Estate department as needed to prepare renewal loan documentation, modifications, paid out files and releases of lien.
  • Performs additional duties as requested.
  • Supports and promotes the Bank’s vision, mission and core values, organizational structure and policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
