About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting commercial loan operations, ensuring exceptional member service, and maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures. The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist will assist with various aspects of the loan lifecycle, from application processing and documentation to annual reviews and construction loan monitoring. This position operates in a professional bank branch office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or Three years of experience in business lending/banking management or in a similar position.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional member service by providing responsive, accurate, and professional support.
  • Support credit analysis by assisting in the preparation of financial spreads and credit presentations.
  • Manage commercial entity documentation, ensuring proper collection, verification, and organization of records.
  • Coordinate with external partners such as title companies, the Secretary of State, and appraisal firms.
  • Review and process commercial loan applications, including business auto loans.
  • Support account onboarding for new business accounts.
  • Complete annual reviews and renewals for loans, ensuring timely completion and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain departmental records, including reports, files, and tracking systems.
  • Monitor construction loan activity, including inspections, draw sheets, and lien verification.
  • Manage covenant and insurance tracking for all commercial loans.
  • Process payoff requests and release mortgages.
  • Serve as backup coordinator for the Business Loan Committee, preparing agendas and maintaining minutes.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding loans and accounts from members and internal staff.
  • Participate in additional projects, process improvements, and special assignments.
  • Protect member confidentiality in accordance with standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and lending guidelines.
