About The Position

The Commercial Loan Coordinator I assists the commercial team in the delivery of an industry-leading member experience for our commercial members. This role supports the loan administration functions consistent with loan policies, procedures, and standards of Fox Communities Credit Union. Provides guidance to department staff as needed with questions about processes and procedures to ensure consistency.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field or equivalent experience acceptable
  • Previous financial institution experience (at least 1-3 years) is required
  • One to three years of commercial loan experience, preferably relating to loan administration functions
  • Previous loan processing experience (consumer, mortgage or commercial) is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Fiserv DNA
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work well independently and lead by example
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately handle multiple projects and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • Desire to provide informed, professional, friendly, and accurate support to the team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an understanding of commercial and other company products and services
  • Ability to understand and adhere to credit union guidelines, policies, and procedures, including loan policy, credit administration, documentation, and structuring

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and upholding the Fox Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Completing the preclosing process, which includes ensuring the timely ordering and receipt of appraisals and title commitments so that closing dates are met
  • Assisting in the collection and organization of information necessary to complete the closing process
  • Reviewing organizational documents and preparing beneficial ownership documents
  • Analyzing approved credit presentations to determine the appropriate documentation solution
  • Utilizing credit union software to produce the appropriate loan documentation in compliance with the credit union’s loan policy and the loan approval
  • Disbursing loans and providing appropriate fees while reviewing loan disbursement/settlement statements
  • Conducting lien searches and related due diligence tasks
  • Monitoring and maintaining the commercial loan pipeline for assigned lender(s)
  • Maintaining a strong knowledge of credit union commercial products and services
  • Reviewing loan documentation prepared by peers, for loans less than $1 million, along with all supporting information to ensure that loan documents are prepared in compliance with the credit union’s loan policy and the loan approval
