About The Position

The Commercial Loan Closing Manager I directs the work of a team of loan closing professionals responsible for all aspects of commercial loan due diligence, documentation, and closing execution. This includes satisfaction of approval conditions prior to loan documentation preparation. The role partners closely with Relationship Managers (RM), Portfolio Managers (PM), Underwriters (UW), Legal, and other internal partners to ensure accurate interpretation of credit approvals and timely progression of transactions. The position plays a central role in coordinating activities across stakeholders to drive successful closing outcomes. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, escalating concerns as appropriate, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 6–8 years of commercial lending experience.
  • 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of loan documentation and credit policy.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to drive process improvement and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems.
  • Experience leading commercial loan document preparation teams responsible for creating accurate loan documentation packages utilizing LaserPro or comparable documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of commercial loan structures, collateral perfection requirements, legal documentation, and quality control processes is preferred.
