About The Position

Rockland Trust is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Commercial Loan Booking & Funding Specialist II to join its Operations team. The role is responsible for accurately booking and funding Business Banking and Commercial loans and lines in the Bank’s core system. It supports efficient account establishment and funding, internal business partners, customer service, and compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. The specialist reviews and processes funding transactions, boards loans into Horizon, handles loan servicing duties, and supports procedures, training, system testing, acquisition and integration activities, and reporting. The position also serves as a subject matter expert for specified lending products and systems.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of experience in loan operations, loan administration, or a comparable financial services environment.
Knowledge of the Horizon Loan System or a similar core loan processing system.
Knowledge and experience with Business Banking and Commercial lending products, loan documentation, and loan servicing processes.
Experience with nCino or a similar onboarding and loan origination system.
Understanding of financial instruments related to the repayment of debt.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multitasking environment while meeting critical deadlines.
Ability to resolve complex issues and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work standards.

Responsibilities

Review and process daily Business Banking and Commercial loan funding transactions, including general ledger and internal deposit account transactions and external wire transfers.
Board Business Banking and Commercial loans into Horizon accurately and within service-level agreements, including complex participation loans, swaps, and asset-based lending deals.
Maintain loan product boarding procedures and ensure compliance with Bank procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
Process general ledger transactions accurately and within established deadlines.
Perform loan servicing duties as assigned.
Provide superior customer service to customers, lending teams, and branch colleagues, and serve as a subject matter expert for Business Banking and Commercial loan products.
Assist in developing and updating procedures and training materials, and provide training as requested by management.
Stay informed about compliance regulations and changes affecting products and systems.
Create test cases and perform testing related to system enhancements and upgrades.
Assist with mapping and testing activities related to acquisition and integration efforts.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Horizon, IBS, and nCino systems as they relate to booking and funding Mortgage, Home Equity, and Consumer loans.
Create, maintain, and monitor reports as requested by management.
