About The Position
The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals providing remote, on-demand support for legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, we are interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Miami Commercial Litigation Attorney. Remote work hours will vary, but are expected to be approximately 10+ hours per week.
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida
- Located in Miami or the surrounding South Florida area
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong drafting, research, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Big law or large firm experience preferred
- Federal clerkship experience is a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial litigation matters
- Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
- Support active litigation files and help keep matters progressing efficiently
- Assist with hearings, depositions, and other litigation-related tasks as needed
Benefits
- Pay rate starts at $80/hour
