About The Position

Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Denver, CO office for an attorney in our Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 10 years of progressive litigation experience. They will handle a range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, breach of warranty, mechanic's lien claims, bond claims, and business torts. This attorney will independently manage complex litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial and arbitration.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
  • Must hold an active license to practice law in the State of Colorado.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation matters independently from inception through resolution.
  • Strong deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience.
  • Second-chair trial or arbitration experience required.
  • Experience developing and executing litigation strategies in state and federal court, including complex multi-party actions, and drafting and arguing dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents, and preparing and responding to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions of parties, fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses, and participating in mediations, settlement conferences, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Ability to maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel about case developments and litigation strategy.
  • Ability to track deadlines, manage caseloads efficiently, and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior associates and legal staff, and to participate in business development and client relationship activities.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and client-relations skills.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Team player; collaborative approach; highly motivated.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Judicial clerkship experience preferred but not required.
  • Law firm experience preferred.
