About The Position
Offit Kurman is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate or Counsel to join our Ft. Lauderdale office and support a growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated business litigation, hands-on case management, and working within a collaborative, entrepreneurial platform.
Requirements
- 5–15 years of commercial litigation experience
- Focus on financial services, real estate, and creditors' rights matters a plus
- Strong experience with motions practice, court appearances, and depositions
- Trial and/or arbitration experience preferred
- Barred in Florida
- Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Handle commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other legal documents
- Manage discovery and take/defend depositions
- Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and conferences
- Assist with trial preparation and overall litigation strategy
- Work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated business disputes
