Requirements

Must be admitted to the Illinois and be in good standing
3+ years of experience in commercial litigation
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Additional experience in consumer financial services litigation and/or commercial litigation considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including foreclosures, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial disputes.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
Advise clients on risk assessment and litigation strategies.
Assist with negotiating and drafting agreements to resolve distressed loan products.
Collaborate with colleagues on a wide variety of commercial matters, including real estate, auto, and specialty finance, when applicable.
