About The Position

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing local, national, and international clients in sophisticated commercial litigation and complex business disputes.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of commercial litigation or complex civil litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm and/or through a judicial clerkship.
  • Experience handling all phases of litigation, including case management, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Experience drafting complaints, answers, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and other substantive litigation filings.
  • Experience litigating matters in state and federal courts.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required.
  • Pennsylvania bar admission required or ability to waive into Pennsylvania.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience handling complex commercial disputes, contract litigation, business torts, shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, financial services litigation, or other sophisticated business matters is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Representing local, national, and international clients in sophisticated commercial litigation and complex business disputes.
  • Handling all phases of litigation, including case management, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, trial preparation, and appeals.
  • Drafting complaints, answers, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and other substantive litigation filings.
  • Litigating matters in state and federal courts.
  • Handling complex commercial disputes, contract litigation, business torts, shareholder disputes, fiduciary duty claims, financial services litigation, or other sophisticated business matters.
  • Gaining hands-on experience in trial and appellate litigation.
  • Significant client interaction and responsibility.
