About The Position

A highly motivated and skilled Commercial Lines Team Lead is needed to oversee the success of commercial insurance operations. This role involves leading a team to deliver exceptional client service and achieve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products, and a proven ability to enhance team performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial insurance, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Current valid commercial insurance license as required by state regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with agency management software or CRM tools.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a proactive approach to meeting and exceeding client needs.
  • Advanced critical thinking and decision-making capabilities to resolve challenges effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Account Executive experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team in the Commercial Lines department.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for high-value clients, offering expert guidance on commercial lines products to maintain client retention and satisfaction.
  • Oversee workflows and processes to ensure timely and accurate handling of policy renewals, endorsements, and new business activities in compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor team performance, establish goals, and ensure accountability for meeting individual and team objectives.
  • Coordinate with other team leads, account managers, underwriters, and relevant stakeholders to drive operational success.
  • Proactively address and resolve escalated client issues to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to keep the team current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry compliance standards and ensure team adherence to applicable laws and organizational guidelines.
