About The Position

The Commercial Lines Processor is an entry level position and is responsible for providing all aspects of service and support to the Commercial Lines Department. Provides customer service by handling the day-to-day operations of clients' insurance needs. The Commercial Lines Processor is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism.

Requirements

• Experience issuing insurance certificates and understands what they mean (what is an additional insured, Waiver of Subrogation, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret important documents
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
• Knowledge of agency management systems (Applied Epic a plus)
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of insurance markets
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Agency management system computer skills
• 1-3 years insurance industry experience
• Able to acquire 4-40 License within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Supports contract reviews
• Processes certificate insurance and policies
• Maintains files with proper records according to company procedures
• Assists in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel
• Other tasks as needed
