About The Position

The Commercial Lines Marketing Account Executive is responsible to market new accounts on behalf of the agency, providing coverages and quotes to Producers. This role involves cultivating and sustaining relationships with Producers, AE’s, Prospects, Clients, and Insurance Companies, including Underwriters and Marketing Representatives. The position requires analyzing quotes and coverage options, preparing proposals, concluding sales processes, and binding coverage as per agency agreements. The Account Executive will also act as a resource to other individuals and develop strong relationships with underwriters.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance products and their practical applications.
  • Familiarity with rating and underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations for efficient management, maintenance, and writing of assigned client and prospect lists.
  • Knowledge of insurance markets and referencing to markets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in both team and independent work environments.
  • Proficiency in explaining complex issues, interpreting intricate information, and providing appropriate responses.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business sales, retain existing business, and successfully close sales.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to engage in occasional travel, including overnight stays for business and training as required.
  • Upholds honesty, integrity, professionalism, and respect.
  • Ability to use a desktop or laptop computer, calculator, agency management system and all Microsoft products including, but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Maintain insurance license as required by the appropriate State Department of Insurance, and Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services, LLC.

Responsibilities

  • Market new accounts on behalf of the agency, providing coverages and quotes to Producers.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with Producers, AE’s, Prospects, Clients, and Insurance Companies, including Underwriters and Marketing Representatives.
  • Accept submissions for new accounts from Producers and the Niche Team Manager.
  • Market accounts with insurance carriers using the Marketing Feature of Epic, following the established agency workflow to populate Acord applications according to agency minimum requirements.
  • Analyze quotes and coverage options with a Producer; prepare a proposal or presentation for the Producer to disclose the terms of the quotes and secure the sale from new clients.
  • Conclude the sales process in collaboration with the Producer.
  • Bind coverage as per Agency Agreements, Binding Authority, and as requested by the Producer.
  • Obtain and consolidate information about our markets to efficiently utilize this resource in all marketing workflows.
  • Act as a resource to other individuals, such as Account Executives, marketing accounts for the best markets to obtain quotes and coverages they need.
  • Develop strong relationships with underwriters to ensure good service.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Niche Team Manager and Executive Management.
