About The Position
We are a growing insurance agency specializing in commercial lines coverage for contractors and businesses. We pride ourselves on providing responsive service and building strong client relationships. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team and grow with us. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to start a career in the insurance industry. The Certificate Specialist supports our commercial lines team by assisting with Certificates of Insurance (COIs), policy updates, and day-to-day client service tasks. No prior insurance experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Prior office or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with issuing Certificates of Insurance (COIs) accurately and in a timely manner
- Review basic certificate requests and ensure information is entered correctly
- Support account managers with policy updates and endorsements
- Maintain organized records and assist with tracking certificate requests
- Communicate with clients via phone and email to gather necessary information
- Provide general administrative support to the commercial lines team
- Learn insurance coverages and agency systems through on-the-job training
