About The Position

We are a growing insurance agency specializing in commercial lines coverage for contractors and businesses. We pride ourselves on responsive service, accuracy, and strong client relationships. We are seeking a detail-oriented Certificate Specialist to join our team and support our commercial lines department. The Commercial Lines Certificate Specialist is responsible for issuing and managing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), ensuring compliance with policy terms, and providing timely support to clients, producers, and account managers. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of insurance coverages, and the ability to handle high-volume requests efficiently.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages (GL, Auto, WC, Umbrella)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of requests with accuracy
• Proficient in agency management systems (Applied, AMS360, EPIC, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• 1+ year experience in commercial lines insurance
• Prior experience issuing Certificates of Insurance
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Issue Certificates of Insurance accurately and in a timely manner
• Review contract requirements and ensure proper coverage is reflected on COIs
• Process certificate requests, endorsements, and policy changes
• Maintain certificate tracking systems and follow up on expirations
• Communicate with clients, vendors, and mortgagees regarding certificate needs
• Work closely with account managers and producers to ensure compliance
• Ensure all certificates adhere to agency standards and carrier guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email
