About The Position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a designated book of commercial insurance business. This role includes maintaining strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and producers; handling policy renewals and changes; and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position requires a thorough understanding of commercial lines coverages, carriers, and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Client Service & Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for assigned commercial clients.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, and policy changes.
  • Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication and service.
  • Policy Management: Handle renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements.
  • Review policy documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all client files are maintained and documented in the agency management system.
  • Marketing & Quoting: Work with producers and underwriters to market new and renewal business.
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate with carriers to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients.
  • Account Maintenance: Review accounts for coverage adequacy and recommend enhancements or additional coverages.
  • Maintain knowledge of carrier appetite, guidelines, and underwriting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with producers, account executives, and other team members to support agency goals.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and support cross-sell initiatives.
