About The Position

Commercial Lines Agent (Hybrid) Job Summary Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Agent to join a dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in writing, servicing, and marketing commercial lines products. The position offers a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work with multiple well-known carriers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing accounts, with a focus on contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.

Requirements

Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance (10 years preferred).
Proven track record in sales and production, with the ability to meet and exceed premium targets.
Proficiency in Vertafore QQ Catalyst (Management System) and Agency Zoom (CRM).
Strong understanding of commercial lines products and experience working with contractors, electricians, plumbers, interior designers, family daycare providers, cargo, and freight accounts.
Ability to travel to the Manassas, VA office as needed.
No existing non-compete agreements that would restrict employment in this role.

Responsibilities

Write and service commercial lines insurance policies, achieving a monthly premium target of $50,000–$55,000 from agency-provided leads.
Generate additional leads and build a personal book of business.
Interpret contracts, including reviewing clauses, adding endorsements, and vetting prospects.
Quote new and renewal business using Vertafore QQ Catalyst and Agency Zoom software.
Collaborate with team members and attend client luncheons and meetings as required.
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while managing client relationships.
