About The Position

Seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Reporting to the Commercial Lines Manager, the role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to provide tailored risk management solutions to diverse clients.

Requirements

  • Documented experience in commercial insurance, account management, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of commercial insurance lines, coverage terms, and underwriting practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Proficiency in using insurance agency management systems and common office applications.
  • Capability to analyze client needs and provide customized insurance solutions.
  • Relevant insurance licensing or willingness to obtain licensing within a defined timeframe.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, risk management, or related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CRM (Certified Risk Manager), or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter).
  • Experience managing diverse client portfolios across industries and business sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of commercial insurance clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high satisfaction levels.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and prepare tailored proposals for clients’ business needs.
  • Review and interpret insurance policies to verify accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Identify potential client risks and recommend appropriate coverage and solutions.
  • Work closely with Account Executives, Underwriters, and other team members for seamless service delivery.
  • Oversee policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and other policy-related tasks in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and new products to improve client service.
