About The Position

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is primarily responsible for servicing clients and prospects while creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters, and other professionals. The role includes managing commercial lines workflows, supporting marketing and renewal activity, advising clients on insurance coverage and products, and coordinating policy issuance and service.

Responsibilities

Follow the Commercial Lines timeline and adhere to the Cross Procedure Manual and Master Commercial Lines Workflow Manual.
Meet monthly with the Producer/Account Executive to review marketing instructions.
Visit clients as necessary.
Assist in soliciting increases in coverage and rounding out accounts.
Use technical knowledge of insurance coverages and products to advise clients.
Understand customers’ daily business operations and exposures.
Collect applications and underwriting information from the Producer/Account Executive, clients, and prospects as necessary to market new and renewal policies.
Prepare Annual Review Kits and proposals.
Prepare new-business and renewal submissions and proposals.
Follow up with underwriters to obtain quotes promptly and respond to underwriter requests.
Invoice agency-bill invoices to support prompt payment.
Create policy issuance, quote, and renewal instructions for insurance companies.
Produce initial binders for renewal and new accounts.
Provide clear, concise instructions for processing new and renewal policies.
Add Master COIs and EPIs on renewal and new business.
Respond to customer inquiries, including coverage questions and documentation requests, with or without direction from the Producer/Account Executive.
Facilitate audit disputes.
