About The Position

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM) to join a growing team at a mid-sized, locally established agency. The agency emphasizes exceptional client service, collaboration, and flexibility. The role is suited to a professional with a background in general account servicing, client relationship management, and marketing who is passionate about the insurance industry and comfortable in a dynamic, client-facing position. The account manager oversees commercial accounts with premiums up to $250,000, handles servicing and renewals, works with producers and Assistant Account Managers, and markets accounts to carriers. Remote work is available. The stated annual salary range is $55,000–$75,000, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in commercial lines account management.
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license.
Proficiency in EPIC software or similar agency management systems.
Strong understanding of generalist accounts and ability to handle a diverse portfolio.
Proven experience in client-facing roles, marketing, and account reviews.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of commercial accounts with premiums up to $250,000.
Provide general account servicing, including account reviews, renewals, and quoting new business.
Collaborate with producers to develop and implement client strategies.
Delegate tasks effectively to Assistant Account Managers (AAMs).
Market accounts to carriers and negotiate terms to meet client needs.
Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
Use EPIC software to manage accounts and ensure accurate documentation.
