About The Position

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a team. In this role, you will manage an assigned book of business and act as the primary liaison between clients and insurance providers. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional service to clients while identifying opportunities to cross-sell within the existing book of business. This is a full-time position within a supportive, team-oriented environment that values professional growth and development.

Requirements

  • Active Property and Casualty Insurance license.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage, and rate analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate technical proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epic software is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by exceeding their expectations.
  • Assess client needs and recommend suitable insurance plans from our extensive network of national carriers.
  • Prepare proposals and applications, secure client signatures, and ensure timely submission to carriers.
  • Manage renewals, including gathering necessary information and delivering renewal documents.
  • Negotiate pricing with carriers and quote/sell commercial line policies.
  • Handle agency billing, follow up on outstanding claims, and assist in their resolution.
  • Address terminations and cancellations within 72 hours of receipt.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all client interactions.
  • Actively seek referrals and generate new business through networking and existing client relationships.
  • Adhere to company systems, procedures, and insurance regulations.
  • Provide consistent and timely communication to clients through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and newsletters.
