About The Position

The Commercial Lending Intern will work in the Loan Department at Alabama Credit Union’s Main Branch in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, gaining practical experience and knowledge of lending operations in an active commercial lending environment. The internship is part-time and temporary, approximately 37.5 hours per week for 10 weeks, from May 25, 2027 through July 30, 2027. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The program is intended to prepare candidates for future work, educational, and citizenship responsibilities through education and experience. Interns will also attend personal development classes and participate in a community service project team. Occasional travel to area branches may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry for commercial loans.
• Develop knowledge and proficiency with loan origination and analysis systems.
• Scan and archive records.
• Learn about credit, credit reporting, loan processing, and lending decisions.
