About The Position

Central Penn Bank & Trust is seeking a Commercial Lender to join their growing lending team. This role involves managing a loan portfolio, developing new business, and providing comprehensive service to commercial customers.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field.
  • Specialized bank lending education/training.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations, communicative, and sales skills.
  • A thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank commercial products and services.
  • A thorough knowledge of current banking regulations, procedures, and operations.
  • Moderate PC skills.
  • Visual and auditory skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a medium-sized individual loan portfolio and maintains ongoing business relationships with present customers for cross-selling opportunities.
  • Achieves established sales goals and solicits new business from present and prospective customers through outside calls.
  • Provides timely loan information for pipeline reports.
  • Serves as a member of the Bank's sales team, participating in group sales calls to enhance new business development.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of Bank commercial products and services to identify customer needs and sell accordingly.
  • Provides direct service to commercial customers for deposit, loan, and other services, and approves or rejects loan applications within lending authority.
  • Assists customers in obtaining specialized services from other Bank departments and helps with specific inquiries or service problems.
  • Processes and completes necessary loan paperwork to expedite loan closing.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Bank operating policies and procedures impacting commercial services.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of customer service calls and meetings.
  • Abides by laws and policies to promote a harassment-free and non-discriminatory workplace.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to internal policies and procedures for risk management, safety, soundness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicates with management and staff to integrate goals and activities.
  • Responds to inquiries and requests from Bank personnel, customers, etc., within given time frames and established policy.
  • Maintains appropriate records and provides assigned reports.
  • Actively participates in community organizations and activities in a manner that reflects favorably on the Bank.
