About The Position

Deerwood Bank is a $1.5 billion community bank seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to grow and manage business banking relationships in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Requirements

Five or more years of commercial lending experience.
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
A strong understanding of commercial credit, loan structure, and portfolio management.
A relationship-driven approach and a track record of developing business.
Clear communication, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through.
A genuine interest in supporting local businesses and the communities we serve.

SBA lending experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build lasting relationships by understanding client goals and connecting them with appropriate lending and banking solutions.
Manage a quality loan portfolio by structuring sound credits, collaborating with credit analysts, maintaining documentation, and overseeing renewals, past dues, and risk ratings.
Grow the market by deepening existing relationships, developing new business, and fostering connections with referral partners like accountants, attorneys, and business leaders.
Ensure lending is simple and responsive through clear communication, follow-through, and ease of doing business.
Make sound, local decisions in accordance with the Bank's credit policy, underwriting standards, and applicable laws and regulations, utilizing good judgment and practical problem-solving.
Engage in the community and support the team by participating in local organizations, collaborating across departments, and mentoring developing lenders and credit staff.
