About The Position

Pine Tree Food Equipment is hiring experienced technicians who can perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ice machines, walk-in coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, griddles, and HVAC units. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay and a supportive team environment. The role involves responding to emergency service calls, conducting preventative maintenance, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification (cold side)
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical/electrical/refrigeration experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that align with our safety standards
  • Compliance with safety procedures and regulations
  • Flexibility for on-call shifts and overtime when necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic
  • Completion of a successful background check and drug screen is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Gas license (preferred, but not strictly required in the requirements section)
  • Hands-on experience with cold and/or hot side commercial kitchen equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert diagnostics and repairs on commercial refrigeration and ice machines
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial cooking equipment like fryers, ovens, steamers, ranges, and more
  • Respond to emergency service calls and conduct routine preventative maintenance
  • Deliver outstanding service with courtesy and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, managers, and sales staff
  • Spot new business opportunities while servicing existing accounts
  • Maintain your service vehicle and manage parts orders
  • Complete all required paperwork and attend ongoing training
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
