About The Position

The team focuses exclusively on commercial cooking systems, delivering responsive, high-quality service to restaurants, fast food chains, convenience stores, grocery stores, and other commercial kitchens where reliable operations are essential. As part of the UST team and boarder Tech24 network, the Field Service Technician plays a critical role in servicing commercial cooking (hot side) equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of commercial kitchen systems while delivering exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who takes pride in solving problems, minimizing customer downtime, and representing the company with professionalism.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial foodservice repair experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
  • Own industry standard hand tools
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, combi-ovens, dishwashers, mixers etc.)
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations
  • Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
  • Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers
  • Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
  • Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
