This position is for a Commercial Janitorial Service role located in Astoria. The role is classified as Part-Time Non-Benefitted and FLSA - Non-Exempt.

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of Janitorial experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
• Clean, Dust, and wipe furniture
• Sweep, Mop or vacuum floors
• Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers
• Empty and clean all ash trays and refill restroom dispensers
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools: buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and buffers and vacuums, brooms mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls , carpets, furniture, etc.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. USE AS DIRECTED.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis
• Activities are subject to change / be added to meet business needs with management approval.
