About The Position

Headquartered in Houston, Texas, BWC Terminals is a premier provider of bulk liquid storage and logistics services to refiners, manufacturers, and distributors of bulk liquids in North America. The Company consists of 22 sites with over twenty million barrels of storage capacity. The BWC Terminals facilities are equipped to store a wide range of petroleum, chemical, renewables, and agricultural products. Additional information about BWC Terminals is available at www.bwcterminals.com. The Commercial Intern position is based in our corporate office in Downtown Houston. For over 60 years, BWC Terminals has focused on satisfying customers through bulk liquid storage solutions and value-added services tailored to meet their needs. We currently operate 18 strategically located bulk liquid storage terminals with direct access to major population centers and ports across North America. The BWC facilities are equipped to store a wide range of liquid products including renewable fuels, feedstocks, chemical, petroleum, and agricultural products. Our success has enabled us to respond to customer needs by continually expanding our network, facilities, and service. Operating safely and bringing the highest level of stewardship to our customer's products are the cornerstones of BWC Terminals' business philosophy.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• Basic understanding of financial statements and core concepts (revenue, costs, margins, profitability)
• Willingness to continue learning finance fundamentals
• Analyze and compare data, identify trends, and question the underlying drivers
• Beginner–intermediate Excel (sorting/filtering, simple formulas, basic charts)
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Interest in how finance impacts operations and customers

Responsibilities

• Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
• Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
• Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
• Engages with leadership and provides support.
• Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.
• Learns and becomes knowledgeable on internal software systems.
• Assists in creating reports as directed by management.
