About The Position

An established and growing independent insurance agency is seeking a motivated Commercial Lines Producer to join the team. This role is ideal for a sales-driven individual passionate about developing new business relationships, delivering risk management solutions, and building a long-term career within the commercial insurance industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience; commercial insurance sales experience preferred.
  • Active P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance license in New York required.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage pipelines, follow-up activity, and prospecting efforts independently.
  • Comfortable utilizing CRM systems and carrier quoting platforms; Applied Epic experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with small to middle-market commercial accounts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial lines business through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, digital marketing, and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, decision-makers, and referral partners.
  • Identify client exposures and recommend tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
  • Prepare and present customized insurance proposals from multiple carriers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through binding coverage and onboarding new clients.
  • Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure a smooth client experience and strong retention.
  • Cross-sell additional coverages and identify opportunities to grow accounts over time.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, carrier appetites, and compliance requirements.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and performance metrics.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $42,000 – $52,000 (commensurate with experience) + commissions
