We are currently seeking a Commercial Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team in our Stuart, Florida office. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Understanding of commercial insurance reimbursement processes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.

Nice To Haves

Previous commercial insurance billing experience preferred.
Home health billing experience preferred.
Knowledge of PDGM billing procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

Submit commercial insurance claims accurately and on time through the appropriate clearinghouse.
Review authorizations, eligibility, and supporting documentation to ensure claims are complete and compliant.
Monitor claim status and reimbursement to ensure timely payment.
Research, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
Process denial and reconsideration requests as needed.
Post commercial insurance payments accurately to patient accounts.
Reconcile payments with billing records and investigate discrepancies.
Work aging reports to identify outstanding balances and resolve unpaid claims.
Maintain accurate billing documentation and records.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing questions and payment issues.
Stay current on payer requirements, contractual agreements, and billing regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
