About The Position
We are seeking an HVAC Technician for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will install, service and repair HVAC systems in office buildings and other commercial / industrial settings. Candidates must have industrial or commercial experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Industrial / commercial HVAC experience with refrigeration and controls systems
- US Citizen
Nice To Haves
- An EPA Universal Certification is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of AHU motors up to 100hp, with the ability to maintain and install sheaves (pulleys), belts and bearings is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including cleaning, lubricating and inspecting components
- Troubleshooting and correcting digital control software
- Join tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units with pro-press, unions, solder and brazing
- Observe pressure and vacuum gauges and adjust controls to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot joints and connects for leaks, using gauges or soap and water solution
- Minor insulation repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical components, fuses, contractors, controls, etc.
- May service and repair air conditioners, up to 200 tons cooling capacity
- Troubleshoot vav controls
- Performs other duties as assigned such as electrical, plumbing or general maintenance
