About The Position

HB McClure is seeking experienced commercial HVAC Service Technicians for Harrisburg and the surrounding areas. This is an opportunity to join an industry leader with over 100 years of experience, providing maintenance and service throughout south central PA and MD. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, split systems, refrigeration systems, VRFs, boilers, chillers, and VAV systems. Technicians will also troubleshoot electrical and control circuits, communicate professionally with customers, and work safely and independently.

Requirements

3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to safely perform job duties, understand technical documentation, and interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with electrical schematics, refrigeration practices, and control circuits
Ability to work independently in the field
EPA certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to safely work from ladders, lifts, and rooftops

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems
Service equipment including RTUs, split systems, refrigeration systems, VRFs, boilers, chillers, and VAV systems
Troubleshoot electrical and control circuits
Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
Work safely and independently while maintaining high quality workmanship
Participate in an on-call rotation averaging only about 2–3 times per year
