About The Position

Sylvester & Cockrum is seeking a driven Commercial HVAC Sales Executive to expand its preventative maintenance and commercial service business throughout the Southeast. This role involves building lasting customer partnerships and driving growth within a respected commercial mechanical contractor with over 40 years of experience. The executive will work with experienced service professionals to help customers improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and lower operating costs through customized maintenance programs and service solutions. The position is ideal for individuals motivated by relationship building, opportunity creation, and performance-based rewards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience preferred
  • Commercial HVAC, mechanical, construction, industrial, or facilities services sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience selling preventative maintenance agreements or service contracts is a plus
  • Proven ability to generate new business and close sales
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with operations and service teams
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new commercial customers through networking, cold calling, referrals, and relationship building
  • Generate new preventative maintenance agreement opportunities
  • Meet with customers to evaluate HVAC equipment and service needs
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for commercial HVAC preventative maintenance agreements
  • Develop quotes for commercial HVAC repair and service projects
  • Build long-term relationships with property managers, facility managers, engineers, and business owners
  • Identify opportunities for additional repair, retrofit, and capital improvement projects
  • Present proposals and negotiate service agreements
  • Coordinate with operations and service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Maintain accurate CRM and sales activity records
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory to meet customers and prospects
