About The Position

Join our Facilities team as a Commercial HVAC Technician. In this role, you will help keep our buildings safe, comfortable, and operating efficiently. You will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, while supporting overall building maintenance. This position works closely with site operations, vendors, and other maintenance team members to ensure facility equipment performs reliably and meets safety standards. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and customer service are essential. This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Universal CFC Certification
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, or a combination of related education and experience
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to personal safety and the safety of others
  • Ability to complete OSHA 10 certification within six months of hire
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PDF applications
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs or ladders
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in mechanical rooms and various facility environments
  • Work onsite at one or more company locations as needed
  • May participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and maintenance cost management
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building HVAC and refrigeration equipment
  • Use the building automation system to find and fix system issues
  • Work with BMS technicians to make system adjustments and improve equipment performance
  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help maximize equipment life and reduce downtime
  • Review work orders, estimate materials needed, and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed to support maintenance activities
  • Perform emergency repairs and respond quickly to urgent facility issues
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
  • Support general building repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, and painting work
  • Assist with managing contractors and vendors as needed
  • Respond to internal service requests and facility support tickets
  • Help train and support other maintenance team members
  • Build positive working relationships with internal customers, vendors, and team members
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
