About The Position

CloudKitchens is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Technician to work on modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities. This role involves a mix of hands-on repair, system troubleshooting, and facility support, offering an opportunity to grow into leadership roles within a rapidly expanding industry. The technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various HVAC/R systems, diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites, and support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems. Additionally, the role includes facility operations support such as site inspections, basic electrical and plumbing maintenance, and vendor coordination. The technician will also utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) for monitoring and diagnostics, provide remote troubleshooting, and assist with new facility openings.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
  • Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent).
  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites.
  • Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.
  • Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors.
  • Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance.
  • Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality.
  • Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions.
