At Hawks & Company, we're looking for a Commercial HVAC Project Manager who can take ownership of commercial mechanical projects from kickoff to closeout. You'll work alongside talented field teams, build strong relationships with customers, and help deliver projects that keep businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and other critical operations running. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing HVAC, mechanical, or commercial construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems
  • Strong knowledge of Piping and ductwork
  • Strong knowledge of Controls systems
  • Strong knowledge of Construction drawings and specifications
  • Experience managing Schedules
  • Experience managing Subcontractors
  • Experience managing Field execution
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Understanding of OSHA safety practices

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Design-build project experience
  • Experience with healthcare, industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial projects
  • Familiarity with project management and scheduling software

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial HVAC and mechanical projects through completion
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and jobsite logistics
  • Lead project meetings with clients, General Contractors, and internal teams
  • Keep everyone aligned and moving toward the same goal
  • Monitor labor productivity and project performance
  • Partner with internal teams on billing, change orders, and reporting
  • Identify risks before they become problems
  • Help protect project budgets and profitability
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittmits, and RFIs
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and installation sequencing
  • Support field teams in overcoming jobsite challenges
  • Remove roadblocks that impact productivity
  • Communicate proactively with clients, engineers, and GCs
  • Provide clear project updates and schedule changes
  • Create trust through accountability and follow-through
