About The Position

Winchester Mechanical is hiring a Commercial HVAC Pipefitter / Refrigeration Piping Installer to support high-quality HVAC installation work across commercial and specialty projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone with 2–5+ years of HVAC piping experience who takes pride in clean work, wants steady commercial projects, and has the potential to grow into a lead role. Based in Nashua, NH, Winchester Mechanical is a full-service mechanical contractor serving New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The company performs commercial HVAC installation, service, maintenance, design-build, sheet metal fabrication, retrofits, and custom mechanical solutions for customers such as general contractors, property owners, facility managers, restaurants, offices, veterinary hospitals, and other commercial environments.

Requirements

  • 2–5+ years of HVAC, mechanical piping, or refrigeration piping experience
  • Experience installing refrigerant line sets on commercial HVAC systems
  • Strong copper piping, brazing, layout, and installation skills
  • Ability to read plans and work with limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship
  • Team-first attitude with the ability to communicate well on active jobsites
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative and step into leadership when needed
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • EPA Universal Certification

Nice To Haves

  • VRF/VRV installation experience
  • Refrigeration license
  • A2L certification
  • Experience on commercial fit-outs, restaurants, offices, healthcare/veterinary, or specialty mechanical projects

Responsibilities

  • Install refrigerant piping systems for commercial HVAC, VRF/VRV, retrofit, and design-build projects
  • Run line sets using hard drawn and soft rolled copper
  • Perform clean, high-quality brazing and piping installation
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and installation details
  • Pressure test, evacuate, and prepare systems for startup
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, technicians, and other trades
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and professional jobsites
  • Work independently or as part of a crew to meet project schedules
  • Lead or help lead a small crew when needed
  • Represent Winchester Mechanical professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates
