Requirements

Previous HVAC installation experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices.
Experience installing ductwork and related components.
Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and job requirements.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and reliability.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

EPA 608 certification.
OSHA 10 certification.
HVAC trade school or apprenticeship training.
Experience leading installers or running portions of commercial HVAC projects.
Experience working on larger commercial or mechanical-construction projects.

Responsibilities

Install commercial HVAC equipment and systems according to plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and code.
Install round and rectangular ductwork, gas lines, condensate lines, and related HVAC components.
Install and connect controls, wiring, and equipment accessories within the scope of the position.
Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job requirements.
Complete commercial HVAC installations from startup through project completion.
Identify field conditions, installation issues, and material needs and communicate them promptly.
Coordinate with project managers, foremen, technicians, subcontractors, inspectors, and customers.
Assist with inspections, job documentation, and project closeout.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Follow all company safety policies and jobsite procedures.
Depending on experience, provide direction and support to less-experienced installers.
