About The Position

Lennox AES has immediate positions available for experienced Commercial HVAC Crew Leaders. Crew Leaders travel nationally and work under the supervision of our Project Management Team typically leading teams of 4 to 6 members. Foremen and their teams will have the opportunity to work significant overtime hours as projects permit, typically our teams work 1,000+ overtime hours per year. Foremen and team members also receive industry leading per diem rates while traveling for work. This role involves 60-70 hour work weeks, with 3-4 weeks on the road followed by one week off work.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge of installing HVAC equipment in a commercial building.
  • High level ability of reading blueprints and implementing installation from site drawings.
  • Complete understanding of OSHA construction safety guidelines and the ability to enforce them at project sites.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • General knowledge of using mobile devices for receiving and transferring communication/information with office teams.
  • Ability to work and oversee project sites in various outdoor elements (hot or cold weather).
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction workflow.
  • Knowledge and understanding of sheet metal and duct installation.
  • 5+ years experience in commercial HVAC equipment replacements including rooftop units, adapter curbs, HVAC electrical knowledge and construction safety.
  • Ability to acquire licenses required to work on jobs in certain states (Journeyman licensing).
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Willingness to travel: 100% (Required).
  • English language proficiency (Required).
  • Driver's License (Required).

  • Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Must attain certification from the company in the operation of the following equipment upon hiring: Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), Telehandler Forklift, Crane Rigger/Signal Person, OSHA-10 Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC equipment in a commercial building, including electrical disconnect & re-connect, controls/EMS/life safety systems wiring, gas piping and connections, condensate drain connections, unit removal, adapter curb installation, and setting new units with a crane.
  • Ensure jobsite safety and compliance for the entire team.
  • Manage the entire project field team, typically 4 to 6 team members.
  • Record all personnel timekeeping.
  • Read blueprints and implement installation from site drawings.
  • Enforce OSHA construction safety guidelines at project sites.
  • Operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP), Telehandler Forklift, and act as Crane Rigger/Signal Person (certification provided by company).
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and office personnel.
  • Use mobile devices for receiving and transferring communication/information with office teams.
  • Work and oversee project sites in various outdoor elements (hot or cold weather).
  • Understand construction workflow.
  • Understand sheet metal and duct installation.
