Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of successful B2B sales experience, specifically within the commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or commercial building services industry.
  • Strong understanding of light commercial HVAC systems (e.g., RTUs up to 25 tons, split systems, ductwork, and basic controls).
  • Proven ability to construct cost estimates, understand gross margin targets, and articulate financial ROI to non-technical buyers.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfort negotiating directly with C-suite executives, small business owners, and facilities teams.
  • Proficiency with modern CRM software (Jobber preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required for daily travel to local client sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hands-on experience as a commercial HVAC technician or project manager looking to transition into a full-time sales track.
  • Existing local network of property managers, building owners, or commercial real estate professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a robust B2B sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, local property research, and following up on inbound marketing leads.
  • Visit commercial properties (e.g., retail spaces, offices, medical clinics, light industrial) to inspect existing equipment, perform load evaluations, and determine project scope.
  • Develop accurate technical proposals for equipment change-outs, system retrofits, and customized preventative maintenance contracts.
  • Present proposals, highlight technical and financial benefits (such as energy efficiency, lifecycle ROI, and operational reliability), as well as recommendations directly to business owners and stakeholders to close sales opportunities.
  • Partner with our internal operations and service managers to ensure seamless hand-offs, scheduling, and execution of self-performed projects.
  • Create and maintain ongoing relationships with accounts to secure contract renewals, emergency service opportunities, and future equipment replacements.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary of $65,000 - $80,000 + uncapped commission
