About The Position

Anchor-Ventana Glass is a fast-paced, well-established commercial and residential glass and glazing company with over 40 years in business. We are one of the larger glass and glazing contractors serving major general contractors in the central Texas/Austin area. We are hiring experienced Commercial Glaziers and also hiring trainees with no experience necessary, as we will train on fabrication and installation. The pay depends on experience. Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background screening.

Requirements

• Proficient at cutting and drilling mirror, glass, and metal.
• Excellent knowledge and recognition of framing members, both curtainwall and storefront.
• Proficient in the use of the products, tools, and procedures utilized in the Glazing trade.
• Can safely handle glass.
• Demonstrate the ability to work on and solve problems independently the majority of the time.
• Capable of speaking, reading and writing in English.
• Possess good communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Able to lift and carry 75 pounds, including up a flight of stairs.
• Able to maintain a squatting position for extended periods.
• Able to stand and walk at minimum 8 hours a day.
• Able to climb an extension ladder.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background screening.

Nice To Haves

• No experience necessary for trainees, will train on fabrication and installation.

Responsibilities
