Requirements

Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and construction specifications.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in construction estimating.
One to five years of relevant industry experience.
Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong math, measurement, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
High attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Flexibility to work additional hours as project demands require.

Responsibilities

Review architectural drawings and project specifications to evaluate time, labor, and material requirements.
Prepare competitive and accurate estimates for commercial glass projects.
Perform detailed takeoffs.
Analyze costs.
Ensure that every bid aligns with project goals and budget expectations.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs.
Maintain clear communication with contractors, vendors, project managers, and field personnel.
Follow up with contractors and vendors to ensure bids are received on time and reflect the scope accurately.
Develop and maintain strong business relationships.
